Personality: Zara does not possess a personality that one would attribute to a swordsman, a scholar, or someone as well versed in combat as he is. He is rather kind and understanding, allowing people to talk to him about anything, while rarely if ever interrupting anyone who wishes to speak. He also appears to be gentle, if a little flighty, making for quite a shock when he fights opponents or lists facts on an area while others know little to nothing about it. While he is kind, and prone to saying kind words, he is no stranger to insults and threats. Though when he uses them, it often does not sound like something he would say normally. He has a strange verbal tick, often punctuating his sentences with "na" (な, lit "What"). Due to his tick, many people are often lead to believe he is constantly confused about something or other. His laugh is rather distinct as well: "Shishishishi".

History: Zara grew up in the Shogunate, raised under the wonderful Imperial Dynasty. He believed their ideals, though he thought he wanted to be less cruel and pushy with them. He would rather people joined the Dynasty of their own accord instead of being conscripted, though he kept his views to himself. Though, of course, he didn't truly form this opinion until he entered his teens. He grew up in the company of other Hokkai, but because of his appearance others of his clan confused him for a Human often times, though he is truly a beast. He has the retractable claws and wings to prove it, after all. He had a close friend growing up, and upon them deciding to join the Imperial Dynasty's naval forces, they decided on a friendly competition of sorts to see how far they could rise in the Hokkai-lead organization, the Aegis Pol. Just recently he entered the branch stationed in the West Ocean, though he is sure his friend had risen higher than he. Though determination can change many things in a short span of time...
